One of the best parts of writing Pet News and Views is coming across heroes–people and animals who help those in need. I am constantly in awe of the generosity of people in the animal world.
Those of you who read Pet News and Views should remember Judy Fridono and her dog Ricochet, the surfing dog who helps children. Together Judy and Ricochet have raised thousands of dollars to help injured children.

yes..I am crying...what a moving video, that child looks so happy...what a wonderful thing..I hope the dog is young enough to carry that child into adulthood...animals are such healing and amazing creatures.

Animals can work better than modern medicine in some cases. It's so mind-opening when you see how good an animal can be with a child or disabled person. They have senses we dont, and they are wonderful creatures.
