I went to Zehrs yesterday shopping, and planned on buying only items I had coupons for. When I got to the check-out, I told the lady I had coupons for her to check. Lets, just say she wasn't to happy! This is what she said:
UGH, I WISH THEY WOULD BANNED COUPONS FOREVER FROM EVERY GROCERY STORE.
I tried not to get upset, by saying at least you do not live in the states! This thread is currently associated with: ZehrsGUESS WHAT EVERYONE?!I HAVE A BLOG! THAT'S RIGHT!CHECK IT OUT!

I don't know why these cashiers get so upset! You'd think the coupon savings was coming out of their next pay cheques. I mean really....is it such a big deal to "deal" with coupons. I am sorry it just frustrates me.....what happened to good customer service?

Why it is such a big deal to them? It's part of their jobs. Today I went shopping with my mom and I got hassled at Canadian Tire, Dollarama and Shoppers over my coupons. I had to leave behind some stuff at Shoppers Drug Mart because apparently they don't take printed coupons now unless they have the url on the page to prove they are photocopies. Duh, you can photocopy the whole page too!

NOT.... told the cashier, this is the way I was told to do it by another cashier,,,, she asked who told me and pointed to the lady lol,,, she informed her that she was cutting out the coupons.....she wan't happy,, oh well,,, but I still give the printed whole page... that way they can't argue.... Happy cutting SDM

Zehrs has gotten worse with coupons in my town, a couple weeks ago when I went, I had MAYBE 8-10 coupons for a couple different things, and the girl asked me if I 'always come to the grocery store with a billion coupons'
I was not amused. That and their 'new' policy on accepting only ONE of the same coupon despite them not having restrictions on the actual coupon. They lost out on my business

Oh CT was fun too for me yesterday but at least I got my stuff - they made me do two transactions in order to use the same kleenex coupon on two boxes of the 6 pack kleenex and I had to argue the 1 per purchase rule with them, but they still wanted to waste time and do separate transactions.
And at one point she was about to do 3 transactions in order to ring through my bathroom tissue coupon - had to point out the fact its a complete different coupon and she can ring it up with the kleenex.

I am to the point where I refuse to take attitude off cashiers! I mean, it's their job to scan items and push buttons. Coupons are in their job description. I worked in retail for quite awhile and I know what is expected of these people. It is like ordering your favorite dish at a restaurant and having the chef complain that he had to take time to cook it. These people are paid to take your coupons and be happy for the privilege! I have to go to walmart tomorrow and I am going to customer service to ask for a little stash of customer comment forms. I will happily fill them out for either nice cashiers, or miserable ones. I know WM takes customer service seriously and they will be interested to know who is treating customers like crap. Ok rant over, this kind of stuff just really pi**es me off!
