I was wondering, for FPCs, does it matter what store you use the coupon at? I mean, can you get Sobeys points or airmiles at Safeway? What's the best way to use FPCs?

Most FPC'S I've received have never has a restriction on the store you can use the coupon at. The only one I've ever run into was one sent directly from Maybeline for a faulty mascara. It only allowed me to use it at Shoppers Drug Mart.

As for points, I've never received points for a free item at sobeys in hawkstone. I'm not sure if anyone else has had any lucky getting sobeys/areoplan points using a FPC, I know I sure haven't!

You wouldn't get any points for it because you are not paying for it. You points are calculated after club cards and coupons are taken off.

I asked this same question several months ago in shopping talk, the response was HBC and Sobey's. I was using most of mine at SDM to help me reach the spend limit to get bonus points.

For the past 2 months I've been using my FPC on 10% Tuesday at Sobey's. I'll use FPC to help me get to the $50 spend limit. You do get club sobey points and bonus pts if applicable, plus you get an extra 10% of the value. The $50 spend is before coupons. Last month was my best I bought $69 of stuff and only spent $22.

The same thing can be done at Save On Foods. Safeway total spend is after coupons (I learned that what the hard way).
