I won avon cream thru a blog contest [ 4 fabulous familes] that was being offered/sponsored by an avon rep named tina cheaney. I inquired in december about when to expect the prize from her.. no email. So I contacted 4fabfam and they went to inquire.. nothing.
Inquired again the other day and got an email [with a few typos.. mainly saying Liz [me?] isn't responding to emails [I think they meant "tina" that's the avon sponsored the contest]].
Basically the email said there's nothign they can do but keep sending her emails and hope she responds.. and sorry this contest wasn't a positive experience for me.
Suffice to say I won't be entering any of 4 fabulous families blogs anymore [sadly Tina's actions have had a more negative effect on me; including the blog contest she sponsored; it spoiled that blog for me; oh well.]
Naturally I won't give up on blog contests! ^_^
Here's to us winning lots and lots in 2010!:wav:[and the prizes actually showing up!]

Got an email from Tina [avon rep sponsoring the contest back in november for 4fabfam blog]. Turns out she was trying to contact me.
But as I've said before the emails I got were typo'd and mis-grammared and generally I could only make out half of what it said [plus it was riddled with html code and failure to delivery messages].
Anywho turns out Tina's husband forgot to mail my prize and it's been sitting in his glovebox. So she needed my address agains o i emailed her back with my info and apologized as well for the misunderstanding [I partically blame the fact that i've been since for over a month and that's why I couldn't understand the emails completely... ... ........................... sorta lol].
But whatever. Point is everything got sorted out so that's good =)
I felt bad being mad over a prize lmao.

I have a question with regards to winning a contest. A while back I was sent a package saying I won the peak freans contest taste of mischief. I was really excited but a little sceptical since I am new to this. This all happened November 30th. I immediately returned the package. I have tried to contact the company that handled the draw and have not received a call back. My question to everyone out there is what I should do? It's been 6 weeks and I am still waiting. I did leave a message asking for someone to contact me since I work in a hospital and needed to know when we may be traveling if we won. Any suggestions? I am starting to wonder if I did anything wrong. I double checked everything before sending it. Is this normal practice for them to take so long and no return calls.. thank you

They notified you by mail? I would keep trying to contact the company, by email, phone, mail. I have never won a trip but I would think if you sent the docs back by late November/early December they would have contacted you again by now. Also, if the contest was handled by a company, I would copy correspondence to Peek Freans. Good luck to you and keep us posted.Quote:

For a big win like the Peek Freans I would keep phoning until I found someone that knew what they were talking about.
As I recall, that was a choice of destination trip prize-I think if you have any contact info email/send a registered letter to that person and keep records of it. Call Peek Frean (or find a company directory on line)as was suggested in one of the above posts and find out who handles promos and conact them immediately. Copy that person on what ever you send to the company who handled the draw-good luckQuote:
