They are very nice backpacks and of a very good size for carrying books and what not (mine use it for a sleep over bag). The prize takes about 3 weeks to arrive.

What should I do?

Ask if you can write a letter to authorize someone to pick up the prize on your behalf. You could state the name of the contest, the prize, and the name and address of the person you authorize to pick up the prize for you - also indicate that the holder of the letter will present proper identification to receive the prize on your behalf.

Have done that for picking up a passport, so why not a contest prize?

If they want a Winners Photo, you take a picture of yourself afterwards holding the prize and send the photo to them.

Do you know anyone around Ottawa - Most contests will let you send someone with a signed letter from you and a photocopy of your id.
