sorry to be the party pooper but the rules read:
If due to an error resulting in more than 1,500 winning PINs being awarded, total prize redemption shall not exceed 1,500 Prizes, based on priority of submitting a Claim Form. Prizes and PINs are allocated to maintain the overall odds set out in Section 4(a) below

Wed, Dec 8th, 2010, 02:38 AM #13670Now sure if I should post here to ask input from you guys:
I had 2 letters (small parcel) this morning addressed to me. I ripped them open, there are two DVDs (one in each) - Gran Turino & He is not that into you. With no letter inside.
Then an hour later, a man wearing the Canada Post uniform knocked at my door and described the letters to me. He told me this is a test to make sure mail-delivery is correct and he wants to have them back.
I handed it to without thinking as I was occupied at the time.
I did file a complaint to them a while back as I have noticed there are few blog giveaway prizes I had never receive - the blog owner didn't respond as well.
Then, I thought about it, it doesn't make sense. I called Canada Post, the supervisor on the other end told me, it is possible they did that BUT THEY CANNOT ASK ME BACK THE LETTERS
She said she will contact my district warehouse and get back to me tomorrow ....

That sounds fishy.... I've been in a test program for Canada Post for the past year and a half, and I always know ahead of time when something will be coming - not the exact day, that's what I have to report... The company doing the tracking sends an email a week or so ahead of time, just as a warning that something will be coming...

Great Wins everyone! Emma, that is some strange! Maybe the postal guy didn't know he wasn't supposed to ask for them back? I'd definitely be suspicious though!

That is a very strange story. First of all, if some big corporation is doing a "test", I'd think that they would at least let you keep the DVD's for your participation/cooperation. It would be different if they were "shipping" expensive electronics.
But what really creeps me out, is that the man in the uniform showed up an hour after the delivery. Let us know what the supervisor at Canada Post says.

sounds odd to me too...reminds me of the credit card fraud ring I saw on TV where they ship stuff to you paid for with stolen creditcards then get you to send them somewhere else and pay you.....sounds like they are trying to cut out the middleman so to speak...I would really keep on CP about this and maybe even the local police

He is not my regular carrier. Just wear a short CP jacket uniform and driving a black car.
I had entered a lot DVD entries from contest, I can't remember.
I didn't even know, I called them, they have no clue either!
Imagine if I am not home, he will just took it without I know. Their 1-800 told me they CANNOT ask me back the letters with my name & address (that is really not sounding right!) I did ask if I should contact local police, the superviser said they will tell me when they call me back.
No call yet, I will call them early tomorrow morning.
