    Hi Everyone

I am new to this site and am just getting into couponing but I can already tell I am a little obsessed. Reading the posts you guys all seem to have it down pat and I have already learned from you! I didn't know about overages!! How does everyone keep track of all the deals, coupons, etc?

Any tips would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    C.

Welcome to SC, I am quasi-new here too.
One tip: do some research on your fave stores to find out their coupon policies. Some don't give overages, others don't take printed coupons. Their websites are helpful but sometimes it all depends on the location.
    Happy couponiong!

I usually hold on to all my receipts and keep a tally that way. A spreadsheet helps you track them as well. That way, once you've entered all your savings you can toss the receipts (as long as they're no longer needed of course).
So far, I've been able to cut down my weekly grocery costs by an average of 37%. Some weeks are better than others.

I use a zippered binder and Sleeves used for sport cards to organize my coupons. I tab everything by category for easy access. SC has forums that post the flyers to the available coupons so I just have to flip through my binder and match up my deals. If you get good response at Walmart then it can be one quick trip and Walmart will price match and take the coupons. My local forum is a really good resource to find out what stores are out of the sale items and where they picked up surprise bargains. My biggest advise is not to get so caught up in a deal that you buy stuff you don't use, won't use or already have lots of....and check the expiry dates!
You are in good hands with all the SC experts.

I organize my binder with card holder sleeves, plus I have a folder in the back of it for the really big coupons! In the front I have a notepad where I jot down what I need while I'm out, where the best price is, and whether I have a coupon for it or not.
Then some nights when I have nothing to do, I fill in a spreadsheet that I made to keep track of what coupons I use, where I used it, sale price, reg. price, coupon amount etc... so I can track how much I save!
