ooooh! You're so lucky. The Bruce is absolutely gorgeous and one of my favourite places in the whole wide world to visit!
Definitely no shopping malls up there...at least, not in Tobermory which is where we usually head to. There is a grocery store in Tobermory and a number of little boutiques and a hardware store. My recommendation? If you want a lot of selection, plan to do the bulk of your shopping before you get in the peninsula. Most of the towns are just that- towns.
Lion's Head and Wiarton are reasonably sized small towns. Big enough for a Tim Horton's anyway and the standard fare of a rural grocery store, hardware store etc.
