Internet Explorer: Opening Multiple Tabs?

Help!!! I'm baffled! (doesn't take much these days! haha)

Normally, I can open all the tabs I want on Internet Explorer. However, today, it's locked at 2 tabs. I'm clicking on the 'open a new tab' button and it's not doing anything. I have no idea how to change it back... although I'm sure it's something simple.

Any ideas???!!! Thanks!

happens to me once in awhile...turn your computer off and then restart, should fix it

I find a lot of pages still look better with IE, and I can't tell any difference in speed. Why do so many people hate IE? It seemed like everyone used to hate microsoft because they were so rich, but now google is taking over.

I agree except opera should be above safari. I would love to get rid of IE but unfortunately, it's still the browser de facto of the internet. Occasionally, i come across some pages don't load well in firefox but load in IE

I don't know why I switched. I used to use Firefox. Never even heard of Safari or Opera!!!!

My ONLY issue with Chrome is a lot of the time, certain captchas don't work, so I have to switch over to Firefox. I like Firefox, but switched because it's a HOG on your processes. I don't think IE should be allowed to be listed as acceptable browsers...thought it went the way of Netscape Navigator already. (I hope there aren't people using Netscape anymore! Haha!)

I use IE and I don't have issues with captchas or it being a hog... doesn't that make it better?

Basically, 2 very important reasons why are security and lack of web standards in the browser, but the article basically tells you all of that.

Interesting, security from what though? I have a virus scanner and all I know is pages usually look and function better on IE. He says right at the beginning of the article that IE has been dead to him for ages, I wonder if he has even tried IE9. Have you tried IE9? I have tried crome and firefox but still prefer ie so far.

Viruses, mainly. You may have a virus scanner, but viruses are "mutated" and updated constantly. You virus scanner may be susceptible if the virus is new and not recognized by your scanner.

Point 7 mentions the author's use with IE9:

I myself have not used IE9. I'm a Mac user a do not run Windows at home at all.

I think the article I linked to makes it clear that people will be confused by the 32 vs. 64 bit issue with regard to Internet Explorer. I would have been confused myself had I not read that article.

Do you really want to take advice from a guy who gets confused about 32 and 64 bit? I have windows 7 64-bit and there is really nothing confusing at all when updating ie.

First you deluge the readers with information that is either irrelevant, outdated, or incorrect.

You don't bring up the latest version of IE (IE9) until item 7!

You make claims that are based on how you "feel" and how you "believe" which is basically your subjective bull crap and not based on scientific or educated evidence.

Most importantly you spewed false information about Microsoft's development lifecycle, their release model, their responsiveness to critical issues and their.

It's crappy when I am looking for objective press coverage on a particular product and all I come up with is garbbage like yours.

Chrome is definitely the greatest if you like having as much of your personal information gathered as possible. We all know our searches are saved in google, but when you use it as a browser they will track every little thing guaranteed.
