mp3 or Ipod

Okay, I am looking into upgrading my discman #-o , and I would like opinions of anybody who has either an MP3 player or an Ipod, or both, and what you think is better.

I don't know which to get.

They are both relatively equal by price points, and storage capabilities. Also, can you tell me if I went with an Ipod, can I load mp3 format onto it????? :?

I have an iPod nano, although just to clear things up, technically an iPod is an mp3 player.

Depending on what you're looking for there are lots of options.

1. If you want quailty + name + lots of space = go for the new iPod nanos that are coming out, they will be better than the current ones & I love the one I have now.

2. If you want quailty + name + a huge amount of space = go for the regular iPod.

3. If you want quailty + name (different) + lots of space + radio ability = go for the Creative Labs Zen... I know most of them have radio, but not all so you have to check first (they are a little cheaper than iPod nanos, but not by much)

4. If you want quality + name (Creative again) + but not too much space + the ability to voice record = Go for the Creative Zen Nano (currently on sale at Walmart for an amazing price SmartCanucks link)

if you find any of the 512MB Creative Zen Nano for $44.97 I'd stronggly recommend you go for it.

I have an iPod video 30Gb but looking at iPods now they're way too overprices, not as fashionable anymore and have many annoying restrictions (using iTunes)

I have a iPod Nano and a Creative mp3 player...and if I were to chose which is better...trust me it's creative...ipod nano really sucks...my creative is old, but it can do everything a nano can except see pics...and with creative...you will get a line in jack, and fm radio, and voice recording! if you're willing to buy the accesories that the creative has for your ipod, it will cost you nearly 300 bucks...and the biggest thing is the creative is going to be less than half the price, unless you're looking to buy one with coulour screen which will cost close to equal value of that of an ipod...well thats all for my advice... :D

I have a little cheap Koss mp3 player and it's working great for me. I don't really need much to make me happy though.

There's space for a memory card if you want to hold more mp3s or what not. You can also do voice recordings and listen to the radio on it.
It served me well when I was in the hospital- I would have been bored out of my whits without it.
