I'm torn. Does anyone who already has one have any input?

My experiences with REFURBISHED electronics is that they are not worth it. Bought an iPod, stereo and hi-power flashlight ALL OF WHICH had problems within 6 months.
Buy new with a guarantee and warranty.
Never met a dog or coupon I didn't like.

I don't have a Kobo, but I bought a refurbished Sony.
Love love LOVE my Sony. Only finished 5 books on it so far (had it almost 2 weeks now), but it's amazing! I've charged it twice (the very first charge and then once again) and didn't really need to the second time. It was at 2/3 bars, I just wanted to make sure it'd last me through my 3 hour wait at the lab.
Refurbished is good because they've already fixed what's wrong with it. Whereas if you get a new one, it could have that exact problem..then you'd need to send it in to be fixed!

I have the non-touch Kobo, and I LOVE it. That said, it is a bit annoying having to scroll through hundreds of books to get to the one I want. Although once you start reading a book, it remains in the startup screen for easy selection. I would imagine that the Kobo touch wouldn't have that minor little flaw. So, if you can afford it, I would go for the new touch version.

I would probably go for either the non-touch Kobo, or the Sony. The flaw with the Kobo Touch is that it has no physical buttons, and I know I would find this annoying to use due to the sensitivity.
I'm a bit leery of refurbished products, but if the warranty on the refurb is the same, then I wouldn't have any issues with it.
