Superstore & Coupons

I just take the flyer and pricematch at WalMart. I get to use all my coupons and get overage too.
I also PM at London Drugs for the items they carry as I can still stack many coupons.
I refuse to let RCSS force me to self- checkout, further cutting their costs and increasing their profut as they only have to provide one staff person for 6 self checkouts.
If they want me to check my own groceries, including the hassle of waiting for the staff person who basically seems to ignore requests for help, they can put me on the payroll.

Good points. If only the Walmart closest to me had decent stock, I'd do a lot more shopping there. I do have a LD 5 min from my house though and it's great to coupon at.

Our RCSS in Lethbridge blows! Never have the really good advertised specials in stock, can't find a staff person...at least one with a clue, and I'm a customer not an imposition so I don't really care how many coupons I have...get it done. Haven't shopped there for a while because they're so aggravating but once again they had some great advertised specials and I got sucked in...drove over there and sure enough only 1 out of the three actually instock (today's the first day of the sale and they didn't get any in...even though the specials were advertised in the local newspaper). So once again I sent off a polite letter that will be ignored as per usual. I'm officially done with this store and will take my business to someone who actually wants it.

I too prefer the self checkout...no issues there at all with coupons.
i never buy in huge quantities though....
i can usually find great items in their half price bins...today it was bonus size curel..50% off and i had coupons...a $2 and a $1...and the bonus pack of pantene (shampoo and mousse) for $2.99 each and they took the save $2.50 when you buy 2 coupons...sweet
and the degree deod..free today (well, i did pay tax)
love the self check at save on too.....better when there is not too many people involved

Here's a tip if you're going to the Grandview Hwy location.

1. Don't go to self-checkout when there's any lady that looks like they're older than 35. Especially don't go when there's a 50 year old hag that works, she is especially mean to couponer.

2. If you can't go to self-checkout, find a till where a young guy is working. He is very good with coupon, but he tends to be slow.

3. Never use 10$ worth of coupon. The supervisor hates overwriting at the till.

i know exactly who you're talking about!
there are some cashiers there that i could say are absolutely f**king horrific.

but, i have never once lost an "argument" there. i have always stood my ground and let them run out of steam. there is one lady though, that i avoid like the plague. she must be 35ish and short hair and darker skinned. CANNOT stand her. i waited in a longer lineup today, JUST so i could avoid her. :lolsign:

GL couponing there, its a challenge

I have friends that work at many grocery stores in town (only around 60,000 ppl in my city) so it's easy for me to use my coupons. In the event that I do not know anyone working at the store, I will choose my cashier wisely. Men, especially young men care very little about my coupons and will ring them in no problem. People who look like they've worked there since the store opened are generally the people to stay away from, as they seem to scrutinize over the store's policy (when they typicially don't know it themselves) I always let them know that I have "a bunch of coupons I'll be using" while they ring in the first few items (items that I have coupons for I leave at the end of the pile so that when the manager does come, they can easily see that I have purchased the item for which the coupon is to be applied.

Anyway, these are just my experiences, could be different other places. :)

I notice the changed in their coupons too. But what I have noticed is even tho they have their store coupons, the exact manufacture coupon is floating around in other stores.
