-

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows about any community centers/stores in or around the edmonton area that offer free sewing classes. I used to do it in my younger days but it has been awhile and I wanted to get back into the grove of things. I dont have a sewing machine im still debating on weather i will enjoy it or not.
thank you,

Have you checked out "Class" magazine? They have every sort of class you can think of... from cooking to math, boxing to mechanics & lots more! You can find the magazines free outside 7-11, Macs, Safeway, etc. Some classes cost, but others are free. Good luck!
Coupons = Little pieces of paper you get FREE from the stores, from reps and from companies (ie: Not gold)

Some community centres and church groups have gatherings that they welcome newcomers. I sewed for years when my children were small then stopped and after 15 years I went to a yard sale bought a used machine for 20 dollars and I was so happy when it broke I got another and a serger and have enjoyed many hours making things. I have seen a few free ones on Kijiji lately if your looking and some sewing stores offer classes as well btw.
