Dollarama South Ed Common

So I was headed over to the Dollarama in south ed common, the one I had heard recently started accepting coupons.

Here is my review:

Don't waste your time.

I thought I would try to use the $2 on the Axe Deodorant. I had 2 of them. First I was informed you could only purchase one. Then I was told that I couldnt get it because "it would be free" - (Insert eye roll from cashier here). In a word, I wouldnt waste your time unless you have the time to search for something that you wouldnt get for free...and why bother...unless it was something you truly needed. I think it was a big huge waste of coupon thunder.

I checked with southcommon dollarama last week and asked a girl (turned out she was the supervisor) if they took coupons.
She rolled her eyes and said "sadly yes we do"
LOL, I didnt bother attemping, but since I was in the area I thought I would check if they would take coupons or not.

I had the exact same response with a eye roll last week when asking about there coupon acceptence..

Me: "I am wondering if this store is accepting coupons"

Cashier: With a look of fear in her eyes: "Ah, ahh, no, mhhhh, yes, but, well, not now, soon, ahh....well...we will be getting our own next month"

Me turning my head to ask my husband when we were out of the store: "Did that make any sense to you?"

DH: "Not one flipping word"

I laughed so hard in the car I almost wet myself. OMG, I will ask again with a different cashier, and I will be sure and update you all.

I got an email from Dollarama and all Alberta Dollarama's are accepting coupons.So either she's misinformed or she's lieing.

Until it is a standard, I wouldn't waste time on Dollarama. But I do thank all of you who keep trying! Guess I won't know when it's standard if no one tries. I just don't want the confrontation

I vote we all go to South Common dollarama on a certain day with a copy of the policies and coupon away!

Yeah it was kinda like, we take coupons, but we really dont want to so we are going to make it as inconvenient for you to use them as possible and then you will be deterred and not use them here ever.

Then when your treated badly for using coupons you more likely not shop there at all.They should be nice to couponers.

Great to know, thanks. Is there any way that you could post what was in the email from them. Last time I emailed.. months ago... it took me several emails back and forth with the same woman trying to explain to her what a coupon was.
