Royale tp is on sale at Walmart for $9.97. If you have a $1 off coupon, you get it for $8.97. And how do you know if that is a good deal??
24 rolls x 280 sheets per roll = 6720 sheets divided by $8.97 = 749 sheets per dollar. Which is a VERY good deal!
Always calculate your tp out this way...it is the only way you know if you are getting a deal or not! This thread is currently associated with: WalmartI do donations for Brightwood Ranch. They offer summer camps for inner city kids. http://www.hopemission.com/services/brightwood-ranch/

I use the rule of thumb that if a single roll costs 0.25 cents or less its a good deal. (I have not used the number of sheets method though).
Also for tide - 0.25 cents or less per wash is a good deal. Anything over a quarter is not a deal.

If i spend more than 4.00 on 24 rolls or 12 double rolls I feel I am paying to much. Last TP trip I bought the 12 royale double rolls on sale 4.77-1.00= 3.77
Good post thoughI have saved a total of $471.69 since June 1, 2011. Tracker available at http://www..ca/coupontracker/

Well really you don't know how much a "single roll" is until you calculate it out by the dollars per sheet method. Every "single roll" is a different size. It is a trick marketing companies use. That's why you have to do the calculations every time.

You can get good quality TP for much cheaper. get over 900 sheets per dollar at regular price buying the 36 packs at RCSS, 500 sheets per roll, each roll individually wrapped, for $19.99

For that particular item the price is actually quite high. Just over a year ago (Oct. 16, 2010) WalMart had the exact same package you're describing on for $4.96 and I used a $1 off coupon at the time for a total of $3.96. I think waiting is a better idea...a lower price will come.

The cutoff is the amount you're prepared to spend. I don't use the sheets per dollar method but the price per sheet. Your example (500 x 36) is 18,000 sheets for 1,999 cents. That is .111 cents per sheet (1999/18000). That is actually fairly typical for what I've spent. The best I've ever done is .08 cents per sheet.

Thanks for the Tide tip! I always get confused calculating it between the different sizes.
