Anyone have issues using coupons at Dollarama that make the product free? I was reading someone posted their policy stating that you can not get an item for free with a coupon. Was planning on going to the one in Fredrick mall.

Done it plenty of times at Fredrick.The staff there are pretty familiar with coupons! The only trouble I ever had was getting the Hanna Montana Olay body wash. They said no, I didn't argue because it was really busy!! The took my Poly to Go, Benadryl, and Alberto Coupons with out a hassle. They just alternate the price of the coupon to match the item so no overages!! Good Luck!

Thanks - I did it at the Frescho location no problem.
Except it was REALLY busy due to back to school so I wasn't thinking on my part. And the young cashier was like, so is all of this gonna be free or something. I had to bite my tongue. Then she missed my coupons as they were stuck together, so I reached in and gave her another one, and my wallet was open so my coin fell on the counter, and I was shaky at this point. After this was all done, I asked to please see the coupons again and showed her I did have more but they were stuck together, and she gave me a 1$ back.

I was just reading on some posts, that Dollarama send an email to someone that you can't get items for free....thanks for the response :D

Unfortunatly some cashiers get upset for no reason and tell customers policies will or have been changed, which most times is untrue! The cashier last week told me walmart will be changing their policy to not taking printables anymore!! Let hope that doesn't change! Yes back to school time is surely a hectic time for couponing I have found most places are busy and other customers are less patient with you!

I have only used a coupon once at Dollarama. I tried to use a printable and the manager advised me no. He said that the coupon has to match the picture. So if the coupon says ANY does not mean you can have any of that brand, has to be on the picture :|. That was at the Freshco location. I really don't like to use coupons when I am alone and the line up is big, but I did yesterday, and I end up being so worked up when I'm being rushed. I need to learn to relax :|

So...you can use any coupon that matches the items that they sell. It must meet the requirement of the coupon. I find the most luck at the Weber St Dollerama, but have also had good luck at the one in Fredrick and on Fairway!!
The 0.50 cent off any degree deodorant can be used at dollarama on the trial size degrees they carry making each travel size .50!!!

it all depends on who you get! You must not be nervous! Its our right to use coupons as long as we follow the rules on our part. I have only been couponing a couple months and I feel more able to stand my ground if i know I'm right. Also its a pretty new thing for dollarama to accept coupons so its a learning curve for them. Don't be discouraged, try again or try another location!!
