Thank you!
Sorry I'm late. Since I took early retirement every time I turn around people are offering me jobs. I have 8 different P/T jobs on the go. All are fun. Yesterday I was on the road at 5:00AM and didn't return home until 9:00PM. All the community papers had been taken so I had to head to my favourite coffee shop this morning to get a copy.
Here it is:
Jan. 17-23 :
In the following first number is sale price. Second number is effective value based on $0.14/AM). If there is a multiple offer, ie, B3G15 & B6G45 a third number corresponds to the value of the extra offer.
With effective valuing you can compare the relative prices of a product after accounting for the AirMiles against the same product in another store. For example,
If Coca-Cola is $2.00 with 10 Airmiles it has an effective value of $0.60 [$2 - (10 x $0.14)]. If another store is selling the same product for $1 you know the effect of the AirMiles beats that price.
Print off a copy of the following to take comparison shopping.
SS = Safeway Select
Saf = Safeway

Sch = Schneider's
GMS = Gourmet Meat Shop

Let me know if I've missed anything.
Also, if you do use your AMs for flights instead of products in all likelihood you can set the effective prices lower. However, it is always a good thing to cross reference with an Airlines website prices to make sure. Don't forget you pay the taxes extra.

Thanks Baggypants and OperaBob for posting the link to donate miles to Haiti.

do anyone know anything about the spend $25, get a free bag? do i just grab a bag whn i have $25 worth of stuff?
The free bags are available this week again. Last week my Safeway had stacks of them at the till and just gave them to you as you checked out. They were giving one for every $25 you spend - not just 1 per purchase.
They gave me 2 last week on a $47 purchase when I checked out.
Our Safeway is out of bags already ... so we received some on last weeks shop or next week's shop.
Fort/Foul Bay Store in Victoria is out of bags - there was a sign on the door....
Apparently the bread is $1.39 each.
If so you're being paid to buy the bread.
5 x $1.39 = $6.95 get 50 AMs ($7)
Thanks everyone!
Anyone know the price of the oranges?
