Anyhow --I will let you do the math (which I'd love to see, btw), but I think I did OK!!
AMs received: 696
Approx. Value of AirMiles: 696 x $0.14 = $97.44
Cost recovery: $97.44/$165 = 59%
How do you think you did?
Now the thing to look at here is not so much the cost recovery as it is any advantage gained.
If you could have got the product 20% cheaper elsewhere (which is unlikely on a special offer) then it would have cost $129 but you recovered $97.44. This means that you created a real
$129 - $97.44 = $31.56
savings advantage for yourself.
Money in your pocket!

Well I looked at it as name brand pop that I love on sale for 3 for 8$ (after coupons), and then if you load up you get AM's--it was the trifecta of deals--on sale, coupon available and points (in this case AM) available. Although I do have to watch the deals a bit more closely--bought 6 bags of Europe's Best frozen fruit (with coupon for free veg when you buy 2) last week at 4.99 with bonus airmiles (buy 3 get 30 if I recall). Had that choice or same item at SDM and 20x points on Saturday, but chose the AM--the wrong decision, but sale ended at Safeway on Friday, and they HAD the item in stock, vs. SDM maybe selling out on 20x Saturday. That being said, felt OK, until Sunday's flyer for a local grocer (affiliated with "Family Foods"/MacDonald's Consolidated) had EB fruit for 3.99/bag (BUT no points/rewards)...So I filled the freezer with fruit. But I digress--the BAD news was when I was at Safeways this AM (to check out the 10% off day--which would have made the Coke even cheaper--except like I said, I bought 50 cases last week), a management type said there were NO PLANS to extend the Spend 40$ get 50AM promotions past JUNE 30, 2010--crushed to hear that one...anyhow, sure the bargains will continue, somewhere!!! (and in general, OB, prefer RCSS to Safeway's on basic pricing, and in store coupons--so there may be hope for you to get one yet!!!)

The Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner works out to a really good deal with the b6 get 40 Airmiles, espeically if you have the coupon $1 wub 2 (its from either red plum flyer or smart source flyer) They are all priced at $2.90 Instore, with a BOGO.
So buy 6
$2.90 x 6 = $17.40 - BOGO x 3 = $8.70 - 3 x $1 wub 2 = $5.70
40 airmiles when average at $.14 = $5.60
so only 10 cents for 6!!!
I'd call that a bargain.
on second thought, if you go today with the 10% off you can get them for $5.13, so you'd be getting paid to shop and making 47 centsLast edited by Carlyfalls; Tue, Jun 1st, 2010 at 03:44 PM.

I did the coke and Lysol today. We get 15% off here so an even better deal. Plus all the lysol's had the b2save$1 coupon on them. Just had to remind the cashier to use it. So really great deal!! Plus I bought the Purex too for 40 AM.

Did a trip today:
They only had 4 Fanta left so I ended up with:
20 Coke
4 Fanta
instead of the planned:
16 Coke
8 Fanta which would have really maximized my purchase.
Did luck out a bit though. The coupons wouldn't scan through so the cashier put them in manually at the pre Club Card price of $1.99 each instead of $1.67 so I saved an extra 4 x $0.22 = $0.88 there!

went and did the fanta/pop deal and the lysol today..
funny i bought 1 set (6 bottles) of lysol and only got 15 airmiles...they only counted 3 of the bottles as the other 3 were free...still a good deal IMO since I used $1 WUB 2 coupons on them. I got 6 sets (2 coke + 1 fanta) with the coupons and the cashier took off $1.99 for every bottle of fanta. I also got some other groceries with coupons....the cashier was quite amazed at all the coupons I had Then I took the 10% and they took that off the total BEFORE coupons...

June 5-11
p&g flyer is out this weekend so it may have another $4 off Fusion cartridge refills.
There are manufacturer coupons on Extra Food and RCSS boards that are $4 off Easy Ups, Underjams or $2 Swaddlers ... so that would make the Diaper deal super wonderful.
Pampers Mega Pack B2G100 15.99/8.99 - $4 = $4.99 each
