I had a super happy shop at Safeway today. Bought:
3 sets of 5 x $5 Family Size Kelloggs cereals (family only eats mini wheats!) get 100 am
1 set of 10 x $1.50 Michelinas get 100 miles.
2 hams at 50% off (BB Aug 31)
Airmiles bonus of Spend $100 get 150 miles
Paid $103.98, received 555 miles ($61.05) and all my cereals have the $5 gas cards so will get $75 in free gas. So made $32.07!
Had to go early to make sure all the free gas boxes weren't gone!

Tsija I believe there is a household limit to how many gas cards you are able to claim, which I believe is 5 according to another SC thread

Today's group buy of a Weber portable gas BBQ sold out in about 5 minutes. Sheesh, these are getting to be like the Living Well free samples, you gotta be RIGHT THERE when they go live, or you're SOL.
Especially the flyer advertised ones because of the additional exposure they draw. Not to mention more of the population is available on weekends.

Note that SDM has this on Sunday & Monday for $4.99 limit 4. This would be $2 lower than Safeway/package pre tax.
After tax they'd be $4.99 x 1.12 = $5.59
Safeway is $6.99 x 1.12 = $7.83 after tax but $4.97 after AirMiles (a $0.1143/AM) or $4.50 (@ $0.133/AM Best Western).
So you're saving $0.62 - $1.09/package over buying at SDM. That's cash in your pocket.
Seems small but remember "Mind the pence and the pounds take care of themselves".
