    3 Day Sale Oct. 18 - 20:

    Lucerne Butter $2.50 L4

    T-Bone Steaks $5.99/lb L2

    Del Monte Bananas $0.50/lb 5lb bags $2.50

    Half Lumberjack Sandwich $3.99

    Two Bite Brownies $2.50

    BC Blueberry Muffins (9) $5

    Rose Bouquet (6) $5

    Huggies High Count Jr. $21.99

There's also a B$150G150 good for the week. IMO it's gimmicky trying to induce people to over spend. The rate of return is no different than a B$100G100 coupon.

Also troubling Safeway has gone from B5G50 to B5G40 on a lot of offers. This week we have the appearance of B5G35. Safeway, unless your prices are competitive added Airmiles will not induce me to buy. Target has a B$50G$10 Gift Card offer this week. We'll do a lot better there!

Woohoo thanks for getting it up for us Bob!

The price of butter at safeway always makes my day but are you ever right about the target gc. Not only does target have the gc offer... they price match and allow us to use a store coupon with a manufacture coupon... and if you sign up for the red card you get a additional 5% off every purchase... yeah we get 5% lower then the best cost and gc's and gc bonus deals and a great coupon policy... target is really rocking it. I know what store I will be doing the big shop at this week!

[QUOTE=operabob;5673006]Best deal in New West might be to buy 5 of the Kruger offers. Total (not counting tax) would be just over $100 and you'd pick up 750 AMs = $78.75

Heck of a good return and it's paper products that will store forever.

Thanks for the heads up Bob! Just went to a store offering spend $100 earn 200 am. Did 5x the Kruger deal and got 705 airmiles for $110 including tax!
    Considering doing it again tomorrow!

I thought there is a limit of 500 airmiles per bonus offer. Maybe someone can verify that. My assumption was that the miles would show up on the store reciept but not the account. That would suck if someone bought that many paper products for nothing.

    Tommy,

    Les's store had a B$100G200 coupon so 500 on the offer + 200 bonus + 5 Base miles = 705

Agree, Bob...I can run down my frozen food supplies that I bought on sale/price match at WM and Target--gee other than those gift cards, haven't bought anything at Safeway for a while. They had better sharpen their pencils, and give us something. (These deals remind me of the downsizing of ingredients in coffee/chips, etc.---we're paying the same money for less stuff--forget that!!)

It's local only in Northwestern Ontario--we had a MASSIVE strike/store closure here about 10 years ago, and this was a peace offering that has stayed in place over the years. It has a limit of one use per day, so I can spend 160$ in four trips, get 200 Bonus AM's, and come out ahead of the spend 150$ get 150AM in this week's flier, which is of course irrelevant, since there's nothing worth buying this week.

The only thing I want this week is butter... but if you have the coupons for the royal it works out to $2.26 a pack... that is a buy price!

Yup, the Royal is about it "if" you have coupons. If you do the rate of return is better than this week's paper goods Ball3G100 offer.

Yup, as you noted, it's 500/offer/day.

You should be able to juice it with a second club card/day though. (Although I'm not sure if they've countered that now).

Off to get a couple more McD cards. Shelbourne is out (got a rain check) but Foul Bay had some.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that was my post, just the quotation markers in Lesley's reply to me somehow got a bit messed up.

Yes, daily limit of 500 per bonus item per day I believe. Otherwise, I am in trouble lol... 4 trips and counting, 2820 airmiles so far. That's 2.5 round trip flights Edm - Vancouver. One more will make it three!

Thanks, Bob, for next week's flyer. Trying to decide if the Kellogg's jumbo cereal is worth the bonus miles, if our store has the bonus coupon again next week! I figure that for us, redeeming for that flight, every 100AM is worth about 30 dollars, so if I can get 500AM out of a $100 purchase, I'm way ahead of the game, if it is something we will use.

Will post a photo of my paper hoard after it is complete :D
