This is a quote from your petition
Well since you are aware and most likely a long term member you realized they used to have NO restrictions on how many pins can be entered to collect coke points. I'm assuming due to abuse by some users who had access to 100s if not 1000s of coke caps peelies off cups at theaters etc. Maybe someone who worked at a cafeteria or Recycling depot. They cracked down on these users and made it a rule that all member's can only enter 10pins a week. They could of terminated their accounts but I'm sure they didn't go against any membership terms at the time. So they applied this new rule.We understand that the reason for the restriction is that people were taking advantage of the program, which most of us understand is reasonable, but allowing only 10 pin entries per week is NOT reasonable.
Some people claim that not all Icoke members drink enough coke per week to even enter 10 pins, but many people do.
To even be eligible to ''buy'' the prizes on Icoke, a member would have to spend several weeks entering codes.
For example: A Canada's Wonderland admit one pass is 59,000 Icoke points. In order to gain 59,000 Icoke points, a member would have to enter 10 pins per week = 500points per code= 5000 points per week X approximately 12 weeks to be eligible for this prize. 5000points x 12 weeks = 60,000 points.
Most of the rewards on Icoke become unavailable after a few hours. It doesn’t appear as a very good incentive to enter the pins if the member has to wait several weeks to buy something with their points.
All we would like as a general population is to be allowed to enter more than 10 pins per week and have a chance to buy rewards more often with our points.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Blame it on the people who abused the system and made it capped at 10. I ask you who wouldnt go nuts with entering codes. I cant blame them for doing so but really its fraudulent since coke wants to reward the consumer not the opportunist who sees a way to cheat the system.
I like the 10 cap limit a week this way the rewards are actually a lot easier to attain since the same people with hundreds of thousands of coke points from a few years back cant snatch up every highly sought after reward since they most likely used up most of those coke points and are at a normal level like most members. Its Also why they limit redemption on a reward to one a week per member.
I can understand maybe a boost of 15 coke codes for points a week. I really dont have any issues with coke to go and complain. They give us so much already if we complain too much they might start giving us less and less.Last edited by Deal_Princess; Mon, Aug 16th, 2010 at 09:28 PM.

Over the past few years I can't believe how much free stuff I've gotten from Coke. I think we are so lucky to have this program offered to us and I can't understand why so many people have so many complaints. Also, the petition doesn't take into account the thousands of points Icoke gives us while we play games and instantly win amazing prizes..

everyones entitled to their own opinion
I think 10 is not enough because realisticly it takes weeks upon weeks to buy any prizes.
anything thats worth buying its crazy expensive making it near impossible to get anything and when you do have enough to buy it, its gone!

your negativity isnt necessary.
you have no facts to back up your statement. Not everyone who enters 10 pins per week grab all the prizes.
I enter 10 per week and miss out on the good prizes ALL THE TIME.
so if your going to be nasty at least be smart about what your saying.

Yep and I agreed with most of your opinions

I personally think Icoke is saving money by limiting on the points we can earn there for they have to give out less since less can afford it at the time and most offers are limited to that day or show up a few times that week/month.
The reason why rewards get snatched up so quickly is becuase users are winning coke points very easy from all the contests they have had. Since the Olympics till now. I have won over 100,000 coke points from all those contests. I would of never been able to get that many by entering 10pins a week especially in that short period of time. I'm grateful for all the things Ive got to redeem off icoke even though Ive missed out on Best Buy,Sports check GCs etc while others even some who signed ur petition were able to redeem. Its a first come first served with rewards. Wait a few months it will be easier since most people would of used their points and dont have enough. If you can save yous up for so long that is never know whats going to be offered.
And thats just my opinion of which I'm entitled to

I don't think the thread needs to be removed, it just needs to get back on topic.
...but that's just my 2 cents

People shouldn't be arguing over free stuff, what each one of us does as an individual is their own business, lets not assume anything about someone else because no one knows except that person. Let's try to keep on topic please.
Now, back to icoke, its a good idea to have a cap because my friend worked at the blues fest and got a crazy amount of pins. I constantly miss out on redemptions because they always disappear. I'm very happy with coke's program, overall and as far as I'm concerned, if people start complaining about it, they may end up taking it away. They do not need to offer us anything. Look at pepsi...... these programs are extra incentives for us to buy, but if people cheat it or complain, it may become too much of a headache for coke and then there will be no program.

Where am I being NASTY???? Where am I being negative??? I'm the one with the positive outlook. I don't need a petition to get my points!!!!!!!
Stop whining! Do you want iCoke to cancel the program altogether??
Play the games and you'll get points too!! That's how I and everyone else on this thread gets theirs, as well as 10 PIN cap.
I've rec'd over $1500 so far of Amazon.ca gift cards. All for free!

Maybe we should call this thread a general icoke thread and move it somewhere else and then create a new thread when rewards become available? I'm itching for some leafs tickets and keep getting my hopes up...
