Free Free Thomas the Train @ToysRUs - Aug 28 only

DH and I went this morning and got Rheneas for DD and Thomas for her cousin. We got there right at opening (9:30) and there were 25+ people in line. Looks like our location (CrossIron Mills near Calgary) had about 100 trains. When we were leaving at 11 we walked back through TRU and they were all gone.

DH took DS to the mall, said there was approx 100+ people in the line-up this morning... He didn't feel like waiting, so he snuck to the video games checkout and was the first one in line there...lol...

DS got a nice new Thomas train!

we had 4 coupons, one each (ok, so I claimed my son who is going to be born any day was still a guest!) and they said there is only one per family, so I kindly pointed out on the coupon that is says 1 per GUEST...so she said she didn't care and gave me 1 of each! so we got the whole set!

Waited in line for about 20 minutes or so at my location in Mississauga and got the very last train. Phewwwfff

It was just a promo today from TRU, not available at any other stores, unfortunately.

I was there at opening as well this morning. Tons of people in line. But there was still lots left after the rush. We got 4. My 3 kids and me. We got 2 Rhenaus and 2 Smudger. And of course the kids all opened theirs right away. It was an amazing deal. $14.99 each for free!!!
Thanks to SC for being here. I never would have know about this otherwise.

The train I got with the coupon I will give to some little one sometime for a just because. Or I might save it and put it in an Operation Christmas Child box. There were lots left after the rush was done. So its not as if i was taking it out of some little boys hand. I resent that some people on here give their opinions on what is right and wrong when it comes to freebies. I believe if we all just use our common sense(whatever that might be) we will all make generous and thoughtful choices. Now there is my 2 cents. LOL

I got Thomas and Smudger and my boys are loving them now lol. We got them at about 11. Hardly any were even gone. Dont think many here knew about it. Thanks to SC for a Freebie my boys get to enjoy. $14.99 for a lil wooden train is insane.

Within 5 minutes they were all gone. I saw some people with more than one in their hands, cashier must of been giving them more than 1 which is not right. They should adhere to what the coupon says

Went at 11 this morning and a guy that worked there said the lineup had started an hr before the store opened and they were gone way before we got there ~ Ugh!

Four of us went and all got one. Got to TRU about 10 mins before they opened and there were about 25-30 ppl in front of us in line but we still managed to get one of each!
