I'm not sure if this is available at all nationwide costco, but in the Greater Vancouver Area, there's a promo where a costco member can refer you and you both get a $10 Cash card. There's usually a stack of these 'refer a friend' costco coupons at the customer service desk...or you can always ask at the membership counter.

I refered my brother and we each received a $10 cash card on the spot.

I miss shopping there too, but can wait for something better then the $10. I can't justify spending that much on a membership anymore!
