Sobey's is a Nova Scotia company, yet is way more aggressive in their marketing in Central Canada and West. Granted, transportation costs do cut into the pricing, as well as competition in local areas, etc.

Sobey's appears to have turned their backs on the East Coast in favour of going head to head with Loblaws, Metro, Safeway, etc.

If Wal-Mart ever gets really aggressive and gets bigger stores with full grocery/fresh meat/vegetables, things could very well change.

But for now, try and save like snot on the paper/dry goods elsewhere because you're gonna pay through the nose for fresh meat and veggies at any Sobey's or Superstore in Atlantic Canada.

    Siggggghhhhhhhh.........

I also heard that Target may be selling food in their stores when they open , has anyone heard about the ones in NS? The last time I was in Florida I couldn't get over the selection of foods Target now offered. I guess they had to keep up with the Supercenter Walmarts.

It would be much easier if all the Sobeys had the same policy....

I agree about prices in superstore and sobeys...I try to by my produce at Avery's or the farmers market held here twice a week...much cheaper/fresher

Does anyone know about using coupon zone coupons at Sobeys? Someone told me you can so I asked when I was there today and they said no they don't take them. What gives?
