Well, my ancient Eaton Viking w/d set are finally needing to be replaced.
I am looking for a new set of regular style top loading washer and front loading dryer with a nice variety of cycles and water / heat levels.
It seems that Maytag, Whirlpool, etc are popular, but I really need something very quiet and reliable.
Located in area East of Ottawa, so delivery would be nice too
Does anybody have any recommendations for me ?

THis sounds like a good excuse to get a subscription to Consumer Reports Online.
I did this when I first bought my home and buying appliances.
I wound up with Kenmore HE washer and dryer set based strongly on the CR recommendations... 6 years later, no regrets.

Right, CR always has good, extensive reviews on so many products.
Thanks for the tip.
I did have a set of Kenmore about 25 years ago and they were great, but now I wonder about the quality of appliances with many of the companies being bought out by others.Please have pets spayed and neutered.
