Fellow SCers I come to you for your expertise! I am looking to get a new couch and I really cannot afford to spend a lot. I want something nice at a great price and I am in the GTA. Any ideas or suggestions? TIA...

I would go to bad boy. I got my couch there a few years ago and I love it. I talked them down to half price and they threw in custom fabric and delivery. Awesome deal!

If you are near a Leon's, check out the clearance department. They usually have some good deals.

I agree with checking out clearance places...you can get some great deals on stuff that way...is there a sears outlet store near you? I know the one near me in Halifax, Nova Scotia has some incredible deals.

for sure I stood there and hummed and hawed in front of the sales guy and then told him I was going to go check out Ikea (huge bluff)! So he actually said to me, "what can I do so that you walk out of here with this couch?" haha, so the bargaining began.

Some floor models which are in very good condition are also discounted sometimes for almost 50 % OFF , to create room for new furniture
