Stuffed Animals marked down @ Loblaws in Barrhaven

I saw two shopping carts full of stuffed animals in the toy aisle at Loblaws in Barrhaven this afternoon, not showing mark downs...However I picked up two baby ones (really cute and good quality) and was shocked to see at checkout they were marked down from $4.99 to 44 cents!

No and I went back there today with a neighbor. What is that? Also...I bought some more stuffed animals at .99 cents each. There is a scanner at the last aisle near the dishes section to check the prices...which today ranged from .44 to $3.96. They have other toys in baskets today...not sure if they are marked down. It looks like the are making more room for Christmas things. Another note is I thought some of these stuffed animals would make inexpensive dog toys but a lot are sand stuffed and some of the eyes look like they could bite them off.
