The "Other" Money! - A New Year = Lots of FUN, FUN, FUN!
Hey everyone, sorry I haven't had time to fix and clean up this list but I'm glad many of you have found it helpful. I'll continue to add to the list as often as possible and will eventually make it more organized!

Joining SC really put a dent in my pocket book.....the good kind of dent! I've racked up more points and miles in the last 2 years than I have in my whole couponing life!
Well, I did some checking into my current "other money" net worth (loyalty programs and such):
Airmiles Reward Miles: 300+ just by planning shopping trips for items I needed to get anyway during bonus mile events. I'll redeem those for gas/grocery vouchers = $40
SDM Optimum Points: I love 20x points days! And thanks to u all for keeping us up to date on the latest Bonus point coupons and unadvertised deals in the stores I have already done a few top level redemptions this year and I'm headed for another one. Presently I have enough for $100 on bonus redemption day, but I hope to increase that for a hoped $200 mega redemption in December.
HBC points: if you saw my brag re the awesome points promotion at Home Outfitters (drapery) and Zellers (Febreeze) last week then you'll know how happy I am to have pocketed $80 in GCs. And it's my birthday this month...smooches HBC! :flowers:
PC Points: On my recent trips I forgot to use my PC CC but the last time I remembered and to my surprise I have enough points to redeem for $20 in free groceries!
Swagbucks: I could kick myself for not signing up for this thing sooner. I would see it in Scer's siggy's and read brags/threads but always put it off. Well in just under a month I've already racked up enough SB to redeem for $35 in Amazon.ca e-gcs! :excited: Christmas shopping made a little easier!
Consignment: I have some clothes on consignment at two locations. $44 already in my account and still time before the cycle is up.
Wow! I know many of you reading this are already involved in at least one loyalty program...for others who aren't, or who say "I'll get to it"..maybe now's the time. It certainly pays to be a loyal customer.

Adding a few more "other money" sources based on comments/reminders in the thread:
SCENE points - earn points either with black SCENE card when you pay for movies (also get 10% off concession purchases) or with SCENCE debit card (red) offered at Scotiabank. Maybe other banks offer the debit SCENE card too?
PINS/CODES: lots of products now have pins on them for rewards including Pampers, Huggies, Stouffers/Lean Cuisine...trade in your points for GCs or other prizes! Kellogg's has the "Cash for Gas" promo on until end of December...cut out the code from the back of the cereal boxes and mail it in for a $5 GC...up to 5 cards per household! I already received 1 and sent off for another.
iCoke:don't toss those bottle caps! the pins under there add up to some fine rewards from their website. Many on SC have bragged of their various swag and some have been lucky to find bottle caps in recycling bin walks or at work. Here's the icoke thread on SC...lots of discussion re newest rewards up for grabs!
Mail in Rebates:
It all adds up...and fast! Check out the list and maybe you can find an item or two to cash in on: http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/104615-...ebates-canada/
Found Money: coley3 and SmackUTwice have both commented on saving those pennies you find on the ground and quarters from shopping carts et al. It might not be a ton but it does add up. In 9 months, coley3 had an extra $18 to spend - free to her! I'm starting a "found money" jar this year...total so far = $0.11! Hope to make that $11 or more!
(Trusted) Paid Surveys: LegerWeb--noticed this one earlier but haven't fully read up on it. Several SCers are doing the surveys though and have cashed out several cheques for $20 each. Seems when you complete a survey you're either entered in a contest/draw or can earn at least $1 per survey...then you can cash out when you get to $20 or more. Check out the SC thread http://forum.smartcanucks.ca/62094-l...urveys-canada/ for more details. I think I'll be joining this one soon!
