Thread: Custom framing

Anyone have any suggestions on where to buy frames (for prints) that don't cost a fortune? It kills me to pay more to frame something than I paid to the artist...
We did the usual round of Ikea/Walmart/etc. and couldn't find anything even close to the right size, so we need custom framing that is actually reasonably priced or somewhere with a giant selection of non-standard sizes.

Michaels sometimes has 50-70% off custom frames.

Try framing stores to see if there are scratched or unused frames clearing out at discounted prices (a bin in a corner). Also, look for framing stores that have a discount on particular frame lines--that could help you to save some money should you decide to order that custom frame after all. There could be deals coming up for Xmas on framing if you can wait.
Think about how you'd like your print to appear on the wall and spend accordingly. If you love your frame, you'll love the framed print every time you see it.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
