I had to share this. Many of you know that I'm originally from Connecticut in the US. Since I've moved to Montreal, Connecticut has actually had MORE snow than Montreal. Everyone kept saying, "How could you move to Montreal. It's so cold and snowy!"
Last night they had their first light snow in Connecticut, about 1 inch or 2 centimeters. Not a whole lot, but a lot for Connecticut in October. The earliest snow I've ever experienced in there was mid-November in 1995.
Well look at this - we haven't even had a flake of snow here in Montreal (at least not at my house), and where I am from in Connecticut, they are expecting a big snowstorm tomorrow night, and their trees are still covered in leaves down there - not good for power outages!! It's about a 5 to 6 hour drive to Connecticut from here - it's right between where NY City and BOston are located.
I just find it all very ironic
And I had to share, because so far we're having it quite easyThis thread is currently associated with: N/ALast edited by thetonester521; Fri, Oct 28th, 2011 at 03:52 PM.

What a small world I'm actually from North Central CT -lived there my whole life until moving here to Montreal 2 years ago.
My brother and sister had organized a big halloween party for tomorrow night down in CT, but had to cancel it because of the forecast.
Good point!
But that's the point of the snow, it covers up the leaves so you don't have to worry about them"You must be the change you wish to see in the world." - Mahatma Gandhi
