Check e-bay. Sometimes they don't allow for Canada, deliveries but I've put in a US residential address, and then a week later updated it to my Canadian one, and I've gotten the subscriptions

I would suggest you use discountmags.com. You will have to register with a US address and then once your order is sent to the publishing company you can switch to your Canadian address. You can goolge discount codes for this site which are added to the sale price price of the subscription.
I have a friend in the US who received my magazine (usually the first month or two) but I did hear of people using public library addresses for their orders.
good luck

I'm having no luck with finding coupon codes for discount mags, lol. Except Holiday10, which worked. Is there a certain site that shows them?

Not sure if this counts as a deal but I subscribed to one year of National Geographic for $20 (12 issues). So it works out to less than $2 per issue for a high-quality magazine. The deal is currently available on their website. I bought a gift subscription for my father for christmas for the same price. They say that you will save 78% off the news stand price, so that's good enough for me

My "method" for getting cheaper subscriptions is very similar to firsttimer1969, except I use amazon.com
I order through amazon.com using a public library address in the states & then usually check the magazine's website several times a day until I am able to log into the customer service section with the address I used. I then change the address to my Canadian address. It usually tells me that the first issue will go to the old address, but more often than not because I was so diligent & changed the address right away, I get the first issue at my home address.
In fact, I just ordered two years of Esquire for my husband as a Christmas gift for $9! They have a bunch of mags on for $5 a year right now, including popular titles like Elle. I'm planning to get Vogue & Vanity Fair, as they're extremely expensive on newsstands.
