....well, if you are going to hang it on the wall ( it's beautiful, BTW!!!), I would go Plexi...glass is heavier, but gives a better shine, and you'd have to find a stud in the wall and put it there....
...there's another option, psells....find a shadow box and mount it....you know those things that you can display dimensional items/artwork?....that would be kewl too...if you're handy, you could make one yourself, and just back it with a nice piece of fabric on the inside, which is actually the bottom inside when you look at it on a table ( you could do the inside walls of the box as well if you wish)....felt, muslin, velvet....even plain old broadcloth would do the trick....each option has loads of colours....HTH....TR

What do the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Titanic have in common?
They both look good until they hit the ice.

Wow, good for you Chers, you made all that in one night!!!, that's a lot of cooking, but now your set for a few good meals!
As I said about a month ago my big freezer stopped working so had to throw it out, it's hard to adjust to not having one. The one in the fridge is so much smaller than I'm used to! Gonna get another at some point.

Just bring some wine & wear the best flannel jacket that you own,
Just remember to please go easy, when you apply your cologne,
That dinner sounds fine & we can charter a bus,
& then Chers1 will be dining with the entire lot of us!
We could talk about sports or even what's in the news,
& we'll even refrain from sharing our political views,
Bring some records in case someone wants to dance,
Play spin the bottle & leave fate to chance,
Please let us know the time you want us to arrive,
I'm thinking anytime is good as long as it's after five!

The shadow box is a good idea but this needs to be pressed flat. So how about this; I will get two sheets of plexi cut to size (the piece is about 40 cm wide x 15 high), drill holes in the corners, sandwich it in place and use oversized bolts (maybe big brass heads) to squeeze it together. That way I can use the bolts for hanging as well.
I have an African thing around here someplace that I put in a really crappy plastic frame, I may do the same for it.
