Exactly! Boils my blood! This whole clearing of the shelves thing is really going to catch up to us couponers.
Already I am seeing more and more restrictions in the wording on coupons.
People keep justifying it, for whatever reason, its just not right!
I'm in Ontario and my P&G has the $1.50 Cascade and the coupon reads, Valid only in CanadaLast edited by Doodles; Sun, Nov 6th, 2011 at 07:56 AM.

I know there was the 9.00 off of gillette and people would buy the trial sized and use the overage in cash or other product then thye dropped it to 3 for 5 ,, and now there isnt even one,,
i think last year they had that coupon ,,

I think we need to consider what the purpose of the coupon is from the manufacturer's standpoint..to encourage customers to try their product, to like their product and then purchase their product at full price eventually. They are not putting out inserts and tear pads so that people can gather 20 or 50 or 100 with no intention of ever paying for the product. A glance at someone's stockpile with 50 deodorants and a comment "I got all this free and I am giving it away" would certainly encourage the manufacturer to modify the wording on their coupon so that it is used with the intent that it is created. There is a woman on Extreme Couponing who states, "I am a shelf clearer and I am proud of it"....it is that attitude that comes back to bite people later on. Here's hoping that we can all enjoy many more years of bargains with coupons.
