winter cleanup,where do you store certain things?

winter is upon us...time to clean the yard of things from summer and put them in a safe place for winter.

i live in a 3 bedroom home and i really have no room to store things.i have a few things i can fit in my shed but it is a small shed.

i have a glass patio table.do i have to put that away? i have only had plastic until now and i kept it laying on its side all winter and it was fine.but will glass break? do i have to put it in the shed? my brother says just leave it sitting on my deck all winter.wouldnt snow break the glass? i am really this clueless. also i have a turtle sandbox and it is already filled with icy water...uh oh..i think i should have done this earlier.

hubby is busy so he told me to get all of the kid stuff out of the yard,toys,bike,etc for winter and get the xmas decor out for him to sort through when he is on days off.

the table and chairs i dont know if they dont fit in our shed they are sitting outside under a tarp.lol...

does anyone have a system they follow of storing things for winter?

i wish i had a basement...

I would just tip the glass table on it's side and lean it against the shed wall on the outside if you can, put the chairs beside it and stack them if you can. If you have a tarp put it over everything. Cold weather or snow shouldn't hurt the table glass if it is covered and doesn't have the weight of the snow on the very top. I've seen tables like this beside garage walls when I'm out walking my dog, so I think they will winter well.

We turn our glass patio table upside down on the deck, at the cottage. We lay our patio chairs on their side, on the deck too. So theres no place that can 'hold' snow, so it doesn't stretch it.

okay i will do that.first time i ever had a glass table.it was a bargain at $10 for the table and 2 chairs so i really can't complain.gotta love those acreage auctions!

yea just on it's side if you have nowhere to store it. We store stuff under our deck and in our shed and garage but it gets tight. Tomorrow were taking down our trampoline. Probably just the springs and the material parts and well leave the frame up.

yeah springs will rust but the frame i have seen people lay on it's side against or in a garage.i dont have room to stor a tramp although i have a large yard.hubby went against me getting one of those above ground pools.now i see why...

My kids LOVE the trampoline, my mil got the really nice $600 one on clearance last year for $90. I didn't think they'd like it but they LOVE it!
