Are they really a good deal?
I am just wondering for some of them like the movie package?
Thinking of opening an ING account use this number 35728975S1 and both of us get a $50!! dollar bonus.

Here's how I look at it... it's 6000-7000 points right now for $100 at some retailers (Costco, Future Shop, TRU, etc). For 35000 points you can get about $500 worth of GCs. That's about the same as a short domestic flight- minus taxes and fees (which, in some instances are the bulk of the ticket). You can buy a short domestic flight for less than $500 if you look around... so IMO, yes, it's a good deal.

It's 25000 for a long haul domestic flight. I fly YVR-YYT. You can *never* get that for less than $500!

Awesome deals so I can understand why they sold out in less than a day, but seriously don't understand the point of a promotion if they don't have enough supplies to make it 24 hours! It's not exactly like they had a surplus of inventory!

I didn't get a chance to say thanks yesterday but I managed to get a $50.00 GC for Chapters and 4 Cinaplex movie passes. I am very happy with that as it seems to take me forever to get Aeroplan points.
Possibly new Stephen King book or a Kindle in my future!

On Nov. 16 morning, I saw the promotion. I wrote down all the details and I discussed it with my husband after work. But, it's really too late for that (sold out).

I checked the Aeroplan Miles website on Nov. 17 (morning), they increased the points again. They even didn't mention the word "promotion"!!! What a pity!

It looks like the prices are back to normal and all those included in the sale are sold out. I usually use my points to fly. We built us a lot of points when we had the Aerogold, then when it became annoying to book, I switched to Aventura. Aventura makes me spend 40000 points to save $650 (so $16.25 per 1000 points) off a long haul or when my Aeroplan points get low I can transfer them there as it's still the best deal if you can find a flight.
