Started my day off at McDonald's... got an egg mcmuffin, mmm. Won a free regular cone with Monopoly pieces! Then found 4 more pieces throughout the day!
RECYCLE BIN WALK
- Maclean's mag
- Chatelaine mag (August 2010)
- (2) Smart Source
- form/code to get a $5 GAS CARD
Got in on the Facebook deal with Edible Arrangments and spent $10 on a box of chocolate covered strawberries! Regular $25!!! Shared it with my co-workers!
FIELDS
Used a coupon for 10% off my purchase...
Smuckers (clearance $1.50), minus 10%, $1 = $0.35
banana peppers (clearance $1.25), minus 10% = $1.13
Total = $1.48
SAFEWAY
Got a Quarter from a cart = $0.25 MADE
minigo (clearance $1.74), minus $0.50, ($0.25 found) = $0.99
Cashier was pretty firm on the coupon being applied to the original price (before the clearanced 50% off)... I was like, "The coupon should be applied to the actual price I am paying for the product!"... she did end up taking another $0.25 off (which was the difference her way made)... but hmm, who taught her that?! I never heard that before...
CO-OP
Canope melba round (reg $3.19, manager's special) = $0.99 (no coupon, but I was hungry, lol)
BUT... found 2 Quarters in the soup aisle... SO,
Total OOP = $0.49!!!
REAL CANADIAN SUPERSTORE
Colgate kids toothpaste (sale) = $0.99
Tinkerbell 'Happy Birthday' banner (clearance) = $2
Hamburger Helper *w/FPC WUB HH* (sale) = $1.66
Total w/tax = $4.80... used gift card from PC Points = FREE!!
Got home from work to see no flyers in my mailbox... off to the recycle bin (where I had to get my Sunday paper!) And what do I see... a stack of flyers in the big 'ol green bin! I get some for myself... then gather all the Canadian Tire scratch cards!
Along with 1 from work, I now have 10!!!

Way to go on the canadian tire ones. How do you get them out of the recycle bins? Ours are like a big blue box thing with a window that you throw them in.
I cant believe people Throw away $5!

Man I gotta move out there! You get such good stuff out of your bins! I went out today and was lucky to get 2 scratch cards!!! That was all I found out of about 50 houses that I scrounged in. I did check one apartment building but it was such a huge mishmash of papers etc, it was impossible to go through!
Nice haul though! Now you got me craving HH!!! Of course then I could get the FPC off of it and go get something FREE!!!!
P.S. You changed your dang picture! Now I can't recognize your posts!
Is it baseball season yet?
