We are planning to do our Mega redemption at a 24 hour location in Regina. We went to the store and asked when prices switch over and the redemption become active, the staff had no idea. Are there any gurus out there that can tell me the prices switch at their stores and I can possibly figure it out.

    Thanks

me too! i've read that the redemption is ready to be claimed as soon as the cash registers reboot. does this also apply the price changes?

my sister is a SDM queen and mentioned that she's read that it takes hours sometimes for price changes to go into effect and that if i check out soon after midnight that my bill may be all wrong.
i'd love some more opinions here...still not positive that i will do the 24 store, but would like to be prepared if that is what i do!

I did the mega shop last year at a 24 hour location and the registers switched over around 12:30-1:00 (this was in Brampton, ON)

They need to reboot the system so it happens when they do that, some stores before midnight, others as late as 2-3am

If you bug them and they dont have a line up they will reboot

I'm not going to stay up all night to hit a 24 hour SDM, I'm going to brave the insanity at the 8am open; wish me luck lol

if its past midnight on friday wouldnt the flyer technically be in effect therefore anything rung in incorrectly would be subject to the scop. Right?

Last year I went to the 24 hour store near the Scar. Town Centre - it did not switch over until about 2:00 am. There were a lot of us waiting and waiting.
I found it wasn't worth it. I remember getting the blu ray which 2 men were pushing for and when I returned later in the morning for a 2nd redemption they had put out another 3 or 4. Some things were already gone by 12:00 am I much preferred going to the Ajax stores at around 9:00 am

I heard but have not confirmed that some stores will have BOTH flyers active during mega redemption. The ones that do mega redemption promotions on Friday should have both weeks flyers active. Now...no one go anywhere near my SDM!

I also plan on doing my first redemption at midnight, in Regina, the tills normally don't switch over until 1:00 am, although the last 20X event we were still there at 2:00 am and they hadn't switched yet.

Nothing is subject to SCOP as they tell you the tills are not switched over, etc....but they do give you the benefit of the doubt and will take whatever item for the price that you show in the flyer, so for items where the size is not specified, etc.....it runs in your favor, which is better than SCOP. The normal cashiers and night manager are typically very accommodating, etc....I am very excited to go do my redemption with them.
