Have been busy with life lately so my brag posts have been far and few between, but I did get out today for the MEGA SDM redemption event and raised a couple of eyebrow HAIRS when I hit the cash as among my purchases was the following for my shelter stash:
Thanks to Kool-aid who donated the coupons and Jasminebed who covered the taxes, nothing came out of my pocket!
I will be putting together my last round of shelter packs in the next few weeks for Christmas 2011 and come 2012, I will be strictly fundraising for my sons Autism Service Dog. We got our acceptance letter Thursday and we will now wait the 12 - 24 month process to get a dog, but to give back to the agency, I will fundraise on their behalf, as they are giving us something that is priceless - a companion for my son who will look after his safety as well as his needs. So stay tuned for Christmas Shelter packs in the upcoming weeks! This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

congrats on the service dog I know personally how much one can help out, my last one took care of my anxiety disorder, my current companion only dog can tell me about 3 to 5 minutes before I am going to have a mini stroke, unfortunately she is not trained to be everywhere with me so she only takes care of me at home, where I spend 90% of my time any way right now. they make a HUGE change in a life

That's fantastic news about the service dog. I know that animals "get" out autistic daughter so completely: a trained companion should be awesome!

Great news on the service dog.
What are your plans in terms of fundraising?

Congrats on getting a service dog, you will be able to rest a little easier knowing you have some help, even if it is the 4 legg kind. Nice job of the razors as well.

Obviously, couponing is in the blood, so I may use this to my advantage to pick up silent auction items or raffle basket contents, but I will be investing some money of my own to pick up a bulk order of Autism Awareness bracelets, along with DH who works as a Store Manager in Retail getting his store on board on the local front. I also am a candlemaker for the past nine years, so may do a candle fundraiser or two. My day job includes public relations and event planning, so I may use those skills to market opportunities as well for full exposure. I think at this point ideas are endless and so is the enthusiasm! Thanks for asking

Awesome brag! Just curious as to which organization you are getting your son's service dog through?
