Are the same numbers always starred out on a person's receipt or does it vary by transaction? Is it possible to piece together the numbers? But then how would you get postal code? Listed telephone number and real name?

Just guessing you might be able see your card number from the screen on the register.I haven't really tried to look for it.I can definitely see how many points I have on the register screen after my card is scanned.

Yes, the card number comes up the same as on your receipt with 3-5 started out numbers, :l

its not just pictures, did you ever do a trade, did you ever throw a receipt out or on the ground, or did anyone ever see you scan your card and see you numbers except 3-5 that were starred out? theres endless possibilities besides pictures.

Toronto is big, so lets use it for example google it for postal codes and you get this http://www.mongabay.com/igapo/toronto_zip_codes.htm and lets take a found reciept.

so a hacker would use postal code list as the "password" to gain entry. With an attack on the sdm site each postal code would only have to be hit 999 time. Even with the big Toronto postal code list this would take a program little time

Yes thats another great point, would be forever to go through it manually, but with computer programs, minuets.

omg just realized... the numbers starred out do varry.... i just looked at old receipts and shockingly some give out your full number... no stars o_o

i got a full ziplock of receipts.... now going through them ... ill let you know how many i have that give full number and how many do not.
