I'm writing to ask you how it goes with your shopping at Pharmaprix during the promo points events.
I had a lot of trouble recently regarding promotions with Optimum points and I'm really disappointed ...
Lots of people use coupons to bring down total OOP of their purchase (below 50$ or 75$) and still get promo points. I have tried it twice so far and it didn't work in any of those cases. I'm starting to think that maybe my Pharmaprix is just giving me a hard time
I always go to the one at 901 St-Catherine (at Village, Berri station) which is just few steps from me.
Can you tell me where are you shopping and If you are getting your promo points (20x or whatever) even if you go below 50$ or 75$ using coupons?
I will be really grateful

Hi Doda..

First of all, I want to thank you for helping me out in the contest..
Much appreciated..
As for the Pharmaprix, I only participated once and yes, the bonus points were awarded after spending $25 after coupons..
That was my very 1st participation in the 20x event so with all the anticipation, I made a mistake.. After paying $25 upon check out, I was surprised that I haven't received the bonus points.. I took a minute and checked my receipt, found out where I did wrong.. I only spent $45 before coupons..
So I talked to the cashier if it was possible to add more to my purchase so as to get the 20x points.. She called the manager and they agreed.. They cancelled my first transaction and had to ring all my purchases again and added the $5 that was missing.. They were adamant that I must at least add $30 more to get the points but I only said that "I'm good".. After receiving the receipt, I grinned and showed them that I got 10,000+ points..
They had that "how come" expression on their faces after seeing it..
I'm really not sure if it's about the location, it's the cash register that does the work.. Just make sure that the coupon code the cashier is entering is 2001..
My Pharmaprix is at boul. des Salaberry..
Tomorrow's another 20x points event.. I'm not yet done with my shopping list..
Make sure to get worth $10 Simply Food products..

I've shopped and brought my total below the $50 or $75 mark for several promos with coupons (no FPCs of course) - and the cashier has to make sure to enter them with code 2001 in the register.
I've done it at the Pharmaprix on Place du Commerce on Nun's Island but mostly on the South Shore - the Pharmaprix on Cure-Porier Blvd West in Longueiul, the Pharmaprix on Blvd Taschereau in Brossard, on Blvd Taschereau in Greenfield Park, and on Rue St. Charles West in Longueuil
As you can tell, I like to mix it up a bit - and like shopping on the South Shore.
Plus I feel weird using tons and tons of coupons over and over again at the same Pharmaprix

Thank you for your answers.
I know about FPC's and 2001 code.
I was shopping this Tuesday during 15x/15% promo and I didn't get my points again
I have bought for 62$ before coupons and taxes, I used 32$ coupons that were entered under 2001 code. I got my 620 base points but no bonus points
I've no idea what i'm doing wrong....
I only know that I need to change my Pharmaprix, cause cashiers start to look weird at me
hehe I'm always coming with a bunch of coupons in my hand.
I would like to participate in 10 000 BP event this week, but If I'm not gonna get my points again it will be really disappointing.

You have to tell them at the beginning of the transaction which one you want. If you don't you are out of luck.
Those 15x/15% things always make me nervous. Because if the cashier doesn't press the right button and it doesn't work, they'll say they did press the right button and it's not supposed to work. You kinda have no proof that they didn't push the right button at the beginning of the transaction.

Now that Optimum just celebrated their 10th birthday I've learned alot about the ins&outs of that program. Apparently other provinces can buy Tylenol, Cough Syrup even allergy pills and receive Optimum points except for QC. Same goes for not being able to use certain "medicated" coupons here.
Perhaps that's what happened when you spent a certain amount you probably bought some type of over the counter medication. If I'm not mistaken some Maritime provinces don't get points for milk w/c I don't think is the case over here. I don't participate in 20x events often, but I too have been able to spend $50 subtotal BEFORE coupons were subtracted and received the bonus points.

I never buy medicines during those BP promos (even a Tylenol) cause I know they don't count.
I think I may have kinda "bad luck" when comes to the cashiers...
I think it's time to change the shopping location, cause my Pharmaprix is giving me hassle every time I'm shopping there! I will let you know later this week if it worked, cause I'm planing to shop for 10 000 BP event and spend around 30$.

So how did it go last week? Were u able to get your bonus points multiplied at another location. I've never been to the Pharma in the Village perhaps their computer system prevents it from multiplying your points after coups. The only Pharmas I've been to downtown is the head office one on Guy or the store in Atwater. Neither of them never have any good liquidation sales lol

I just came to write about! Thanks for asking

So I did a brag yesterday :D youppi!!!!!! :D :D :D :D
total: 34.37 $
points de base: 520
points prime produits: 10660
points prime magasin: 10000
Total points: 21180
I combined 10 000 promo, 8000 SPC bonus and 20x simply food.
I have a one reflection after yesterday's shopping - Pharmaprix at Village is "special" and gives me hard time always when I go there. Yesterday I went shopping to Atwater (Place Alexis Nihon) and everything was fine. They had a poor selection of Simply food though (no frozen stuff) and I couldn't make more points on it.
But I used those secrets, olay and satin care coupies (9$WUB3, 5$WUB2)to bring my total OOP down.

Congrats, Doda! Nice score on the points!
That's interesting and good news to hear about the Pharmaprix at Place Alexis Nihon. I had problems there early summer getting my points when I had used coupons. So I basically stopped shopping there especially if I'm doing a points events. I've been wanting to try there again but didn't want to go through the hassle of asking for my transaction to be annulled and re-done so I can get my points. Maybe I'll try them again next time.
I agree -- their food section is small which I guess is why they usually don't include the food fliers with their circulars.

I have similar feelings about Pharmaprix at Village
I needed to cancel and re-do my transactions 2 times there, they often enter regular coupons under 2002 code (which doesn't give you points) and "forget" to press the right button to give you points on those 15%/15X events. I think I will change my primary location from now. It's a bit sad though, cause it's 2min walking from home...

I think the Pharmaprix Berri station is not really good at coupons as they often enter wrong code for coupons ($ coupons as 2002 - but it is good in the sense that you would not have to pay taxes if any). Luckily that I just use my coupons infrequently there and not for 20x event as it is far from my place. However, it is a big store as compared to other Pharmaprix and their food section is also large. I also have to agree that their liquidation section is often not great. There was only one time I saw a good liquidation thing which is Johnson's mini baby kit (shampoo, etc.) for 0.99 but I did not bring my coupon with me. When I came back, they had all gone
