    Hi

I was just diagnosed as type 2 diabetic and thought I seen a freebee on here that offered strips/meter etc for free. Does anyone know if this offer is still valid. I believe it was one touch.

    Thanks

There are coupons out there if you buy the strips, you get the meter for free.

I'm pretty sure that if you get a prescription for the strips and the device the device usually comes for free (the strips are so much more expensive that the companies that make them don't mind giving the devices away). Ask your pharmacist

Also, your Dr. should refer you to a "diabetic" class at your local hospital and the nurses there give you a slip to take to your pharmacy for your first meter (usually free). Also, the hospital's diabetic centres usually have a cupboard full of all sorts of meters and you can ask if they could provide you one free of charge. Good luck to you in getting your levels under control.

All meters are free with the purchase of 100 strips. No coupon needed.
