Strangely, when I'm living alone and it's only my own gross food, I don't seem quite so tempted!

Ever put off buying new batteries for your cordless phone because it would probably be cheaper to buy a new cordless phone, but you can't bring yourself to do that, so you use a corded phone forever and can't screen calls anymore because there's no call display on it?

All the time! But it depends on what it was. If it's something wet like fruit, slice of lunch meat and so on... no, not without rinsing it first. If it was toast or something equally as dustable then yes.
Remember I clean my floors every single day. Sometimes twice a day. I'm a bit of a freak that way. LOL (yet i'll eat food off the floor? Something wrong there.... )
