I have purchased a lot of things online, mainly ebay. The downfalls to shopping online is obviously not seeing the item in person. You cannot tell the quality or weight of a clothing item. I have received many shirts that were so thin you could spit through them.
Purfume of course, you can't sample it online, so it's a gamble if you've never bought it before.
Shipping costs....they can be crazy high prices.
Then theres customs fees on top of that. From what I remember, it's been awhile but if the item was under 20.00 it was ok, but over that, you could get dinged hard. I bought a little african bench, not even a foot long, small counter display, paid 40.00 for it, come delivery man time, I had to pay another 60.00 for customs. I was not happy lol.
Then theres the "will I get my item" concern. Will it be broken etc. Then the wait time. Things take forever to get here if outside of Canada, and Canada post is slowww to start off with lol. Then theres the "scam" sites, one needs to do research first.
Finally, I know a lot of ppl who simply will not shop online due to credit card fraud, hacking info, and stealing numbers. I know a lady who has her own credit card point of purchase machine. Sadly, I know her, and well...lets just say I would NEVER swipe my card in her machine.
A lot of the things I mentioned such as hacking etc, can and do happen in brick and mortor stores as well, so I guess you just go with luck, instinct, and research.
That's my 2 cents anyways, hope that helped
Good luck

Items not working and shipping/customs costs mainly. Depending on the item, poor quality also comes into play. People can do a lot with pictures to make items look better then they are. You are pretty well at the mercy of the seller.

I have been shopping online for almost 10 years now. I have never had a problem. I am not worried about identity theft or someone stealing my credit card. I am very careful also to make sure the site is legit and secure. Some of the best prices around are found online shopping.
PS - do you Xmas shopping online through US retailers...a lot are now offered free shipping to Canada, and if you order asap, you beat the "Customs" crackdown whereby customs agents begin checking packages to charge duty.

I noticed alot of the times us sellers ( ie ebay) will mark the package as a gift so u dont have to pay customs fees.
Ive only had to pay custom once and it was thru spirithalloween.com and it was like $13. really annoying.

yep, I love it when they mark it as "gift" lol. I love online shopping, been buying and selling for years. I've never (knock on wood) had a real problem. I sold my harley through ebay, and that went smooth...not a hassle nothing. You just have to be wise

I see you have a link to your company. Good luck
Hope all works out for you.

I grew up with online shopping so I'm not concerned at all, I'm as comfortable with it as regular in-store shopping. Sites like ebay are kind of a gamble since you don't know who you're buying from, so i just don't buy expensive things from there.

I am annoyed when overseas sellers take it upon themselves to mark a package as a "gift." If I want to defraud the government, it should be my decision.
My biggest concern with online shopping is that it is so easy.
