SDM / New Brandsaver Coupons (Gatineau)

The SDM on St. Joseph/Freeman in Hull has a huge discount area. I went it to get their $3.99 Pantene deal with the $1 WUB1 and $2.50 WUB2 coupons from the latest Brandsaver. Instead, they had Value Packs of Pantene (a regular shampoo with a bonus hairspray or mousse full-sized), originally $11.97, on for $2.97.

Worked out to three shampoos, two mousses and a hairspray for $5.41 +tx. And then one of the three came out regular price so they gave it to me for free when I pointed it out.

There were also Gilette disposables (3 razors and a bonus shave gel) for $6, and Gilette Pro Fusion sets heavily discounted. And if you use Similac or Enfamil formula, they had many large canisters on for 1/2 price or less. I didn't check expiry dates, but $12 for a canister that's usually $31.99 seems great, especially with all the coupons floating around for those.

Yes, that's the one. The IGA had $1 4L Lactantia coupons, Aylmer Accent coupons, and great prices on Liberte yogurt, too!

Guess i shall make it a point to pop in then.
Iga is on my list of places to go next week, and that sdm is my preferred one even though its further from me as the staff are better than in most of the other sdms!

They do have awesome staff there. The discount area is the largest of any SDM I've seen and you do need to watch, as items frequently ring in at the original price. But no one has ever given a hint of attitude when I've pointed it out. Usually they thank me for finding the error and/or apologize, and they either give me the item for free or hand me a $10 GC. Everyone also seems very quick on the cash, so you never feel like you're holding up the line with coupons.

The variety of discount items also includes items I never see discounted elsewhere, such as medications (marked down because the company has updated the packaging, or they're within 6 months of expiry). Originally $12-20+ and they'll be between $2-4. It's not my closest SDM, either, but it's worth my time to get there.

I've gotten free laundry liquid, free olay cleanser and some other olay product before from the clearance at that store - all because of it being wrongly labelled. I love SCOP!!
