Canadian Tire has a pretty good deal on a KitchenAid Professional 5+ Stand Mixer. It's going for $299, from it's original price of $500. Just in time for holiday baking!

Sears has KitchenAid Classic Standmixers on special for $199 (down from $399).

It has a less powerful motor than the Professional 5+ model (250 W vs the 475 W) I mentioned in an earlier thread, but it should have enough power to easily cream butter, and knead most doughs. You may appreciate the additional power of the Professional + model if you work on stiff cookie or bread doughs though!

This mixer has KitchenAid's tilt-head design rather than the lift-bowl of the Professional.

Is it the Artisan?? The one I see in the flyer is the Classic not the Artisan for $199. If it is the Artisan than that IS a great deal. Walmart has the Classic for $188.00 right now which is slightly cheaper than the Zellers Classic in the flyer I have (but then you don't get HBC/Airmiles points/SPC).
