Anywhere! lol. There are not many jobs out there for teachers, and there are lots of students graduating that all think they are the best. lol.
I am in the early years stream, which is esentially K-4 but I can teach any grade. I am willing to teach up to grade 6.

Good luck! Is it an interview for an actual position, or is it something that helps them get to know what's out there? Eight or nine years ago, they were pre-hiring for anticipated staffing needs, but that's pretty rare now, unless you have some kind of rare specialty.
Make sure you arrange to sit down with the principal of the school where you're doing your student teaching. It's really good if they get to know you. They may also give you some tips about how the hiring process works. In high schools, they can get 60-80 applications for a mid-year term position. It's important to stand out!

been there done that! good luck! I also graduated from U of W education (senior yrs)... (about 6 yrs ago, can't believe its been that long) From what I remember this is just to meet you and see what you teach etc. Unless you are french im. I don't think they really hire right off the bat, from what I remember. Just be yourself and genuine. Good luck!!!!

Good luck! Just an FYI I graduated from U of W 5 years ago and just to let you know that use these pre-interviews as experience. The divisions rarely hire from them unless the person is either a minority, can teach french immersion or are absolutely amazing. Take your time, think over the questions and be confident!

Wow, lots of teachers are smart canucks. Don't be afraid to venture outside the perimeter to look for a teaching job. I teach in a small town close to Winnipeg, and love it!
Best of luck with the interview!!

I am at Luxton and have also been at Faraday and Meadows West.
It went AMAZING! They loved me and told me they wish they had a position open. :D They said they are for sure putting me on the sub list. :D it was fantastic!
They also do prehire if they have jobs open, right now for early years there are not any open, but there may be at the end of June.
