This is the letter I wrote to the principal.


It has come to my attention once again that Mrs. A seems to have some kind of issue with my son. In the past 2 years there have been many times he has come home and told me that she is picking on him for what she feels is his lack of enthusiasm for the course. Today she implied that because he was smiling at the comment of one of his classmates that he has some kind of problem that needs to get fixed. He is very upset by this comment and he believes she was telling him he had some kind of mental problem. At this point in time I don’t care what she meant by the comment. It is my sons interpretation of this comment that has me concerned. The fact that he has come home nearly in tears is enough to warrant an investigation. I would like to know what her problem is with him and what is going to be done to stop it.

This week has been a huge test of my fuse and that was the last straw.

I know Kevin is a good kid but now she will finally find out why I have not been to see her at parent teacher interview. I will also contact my lawyer to find out what type of complaint to file. Funny enough part of the governing board duties last meeting was to approve a new official complaint form to the school board. LMAO The chairperson just emailed me and said I will be the first to try it out.

You don't tell a kid he needs to be 'fixed'. It's bad enough that at his age it's hard to figure out who you are an dthe peer pressures of being liek everyone else (although he doesn't seem to have been bitten by that bug yet). The social pressures and angst alone... now to top it off he has a TEACHER affirming insecurities? Wow... just WOW. I really hope you get results because thta's just not right.

Imagine a kid who is depressive.. just for sh!ts n giggles and you have a teacher tell you you need to get fixed. WOW... oh boy my mind is going a mile a minute with examples. Yea - she needs to be fixed herself.
