Operation Backpack 2012

Ok so I as trying to think of somewhere's to make donations to do this year...soooo here is my plan...Operation Backpack 2012

I am going to gather backpacks and book bags and fill them with travel size items like
:toothpaste
:toothbrushes
:mouthwash
:bandaids
:mini shampoo
:floss
:hair brush
:mini kleenex
:hat
:mitts/gloves
:scarf
:blanket
:candies/chocolates/nuts
:travel mug
:hot chocolate

My goals is to collect as many of these items I can throughout the year catching sales and using coupons to get the best deal ! Then distribute them to the homeless ppl

I am going to keep this thread updated as I travel through the year

I will be looking for large trades of brandsaver/hot rods/chocolate/hot chocolate and candies right now....If new coupons come out that anyone thinks I can use to help with this prodject please post so I can look/trade for them

so for January and February here is what I have gathered (with the help of some awesome Sc'ers /friends/family


6 toothpaste fpc's
1 case of rice krispie squares (put in freezer)
6 travel mugs
10 scarfs
6 pr mitts
2 hats
8 pk mens socks
6 pk womens socks

100 travel bags............thanks garbagepicker
100 mini containers of skin irritation cream.....thanks garbagepicker
25 mini toothpaste
25 mini mouthwash
20 mini lacoupe shampoo
100 nivea cream.
100 shaving cream..mens...
20 shaving cream..women(full size)
20 single mens disposable shavers(old spice)
10 single daisy womens disposable shavers
20 (3pk)bars of soap..irish spring..so 60 singles
10 mini head/shoulders shampoo
10 mini head/shoulders conditioner
20 dental floss
30 pks hot chocolate (in freezer)
1 box nutri grain bars..testing how well they freeze
3 boxes (singles) instant coffee
4 boxes red rose tea
10 boxes candy canes(stored in rubermaid tote)
20 boxes of kleenex seperated into 100 baggies...thanks to peachy for the coupons
5 backpacks

Lol, I threw out some of those draw string back packs (giveaways - bud light, BMO, etc - now wishing I hadn't - can you use those if I find more? New ones, of course...)
