I know, right? Can there really be such a thing as too many deals? Well at some point, yes.
I just think that the blog/RSS lately has been swamped, so much that i find it a chore to sort through the reocurring deals and i stop reading!
Seriously, do we really need to know about MAC's free shipping sale AGAIN (that one seems to come very month) or the body shops 3 for 2 BOGO (again, this comes so often it's hardly a deal)?
So i hate to be a grouch, but i wish you'd filter some of these deals you guys get so that there is less overwhelming.
Just my humble opinion. Feel free to disagree, but i hope you can be polite in doing so

the thing is not everyone checks the feeds daily, so a lot of people catch the deals for specific stores only once in a while.
can't please everyone all the time though!

Nope, and I know there are a lot of people who read the blog who aren't into forums so don't venture this far to see the other deals and would miss out if not posted on the blog (and the forum is huge, I know I miss stuff that I see on the blog)

There are a lot of deals posted in the forum that don't catch my eye, and I would miss them if they weren't on the blog. And yes there's a lot of recurring deals, but it is also the holiday season, and there's a lot of promotions that change weekly, if not daily. Nice to be a kept apprised of them.

I love hearing about them even if it seems like a montly sale or the same old thing. Getting up there in age and a good reminder on a deal and saving pennys is what I am all about. I beleive that is what this site is about also!!!!!

I actually find this post extremely rude to all the bloggers that work their butts off posting great deals. Of course the RSS is busy this week, its black friday! My feelings are a bit hurt over this. I know speaking for myself personally I took great care in blogging all the great black friday deals that our readers would enjoy. For example the mac code expires all the time, and a new code is given. If I skip posting it I get emails asking me to.
Cant please everyone I guess. If you dont like the Rss busy then I suggest you skip out around boxing day as well.

I'm still trying to figure out what "I know right " means lol.
I appreciate all the work ppl do on here bigtime. I have learned that doing all this couponing (is that a word? lol) takes time, and a lot of it, organization skills, and math lol.
I wouldn't even know 1% of what is going on out there with deals and sales etc without the hard work of the scers. So, Hats off to you all. And, THANK YOU!!!!LF: $ 4.00 off any covergirl, 2.00 axe,RLF ARMSTRONG cheese, black diamond, 3.00 gain. 2.00 Majesta. Have 5.00 walmart gc.

Personally, I too do not mind a gentle reminder..even then I can still forget. I would not have remembered the Old Navy sale and the prompt to use the extra codes...that made it affordable for me. I was able to actually buy stuff for my family and the church mitten tree, which I would not be able to without. Hard to keep everyone happy.
Keep up the good work all you hard working SCers!

I like seeing the really good deals on the blog. I don't get a chance to go to every post on the board, so this is very helpful to me. And to echo Sally - yes, Boxing Day sales will make the feed even busier.

Black Friday is a huge shopping event every year, it's only expected that the blog will be swamped with deals. There is no filtering involved, if we feel it's worthy enough to post on the blog, we will. Even if a blog post helps only a couple people to save money, then we've done our job. Also, a lot of people shop a certain store ONLY when they have a sale (eg: The Body Shop). If there's no deal happening and everything is regular-priced, I don't even bother going in.
As a blogger, I too feel unappreciated, as I strive to post at least 3 a day, and sometimes I post 10. Come Boxing Day, I plan on posting like a madwoman so if too much blog posts are overwhelming, Boxing Day/Week will be a time to avoid it.
