Toronto Zoo is celebrating Valentine's Day with a great offer for kids age 12 and under. On February 11 and 12 (a Saturday and Sunday), kids who bring a valentine for their favourite zoo friend will get in for free! There's a limit of two free children per adult.

The animals at the Toronto Zoo include everything from hippopotamuses to grizzly bears, butterflies, penguins, meerkats and monkeys. Directions to the zoo are here.

    (Thank you Red )

When I told the kids about this they were excited. We went to the website and found all their favourite animals that they want to give Valentines to () My kids love going to the zoo. We go during the egg hunt and in the fall. One of our family traditions. The zoo is so much fun and a lot of walking.

Sorry, Just came on. For kids, to give a Valentine is to give their favourite animal friend a card (homemade or bought) to show that they care. In school, kids give cards and candies to their class friends. Just a way to say how much you care. My kids like to make cards (we start in the middle of January to get the supplies and start the cards - it's a great activity and the kids have fun making the cards). The DollarStores also have great Valentine Kits for kids too.
